I can not say enough wonderful and amazing things about Secrets Maroma and Secrets overall . I could spend all day singing the praises of Maroma and Secrets Akumal but I am going to try to keep in short and to the point about my most recent trip to Maroma April 13th-19th . I have been going to Secrets since 2016 , my 1st 5 trips were to Akumal ( amazing too much to write) The past 3 I have decided to go to Maroma . They are pretty much both on the same level in all areas, its really a matter of personal preference and choice. For me now that I have been to Akumal , I just like being a bit closer to airport. So I have been going to Maroma. The rooms, service food are amazing at both resorts. I do like the gym and spa layout a bit better at Akumal , it’s a little newer and brighter. I am really into the going to the Spa and Gym , but they are both excellent. The treatments themselves were amazing. Akumal is just a bit nicer and newer the actually gym and Spa and the beach at Maroma is more of a classic Caribbean beach so it really depends what you want out of the trip. Neither resort will fail you as far as Service, Food and amazing grounds and rooms. Definitely go Preferred at both resorts , its worth the extra money, way to go, Definitely do a little hut bed at Maroma for day , I would like to mention a few staff members who made the experience even more amazing . Omar in preferred club check in and lounge for patiently organizing my requests for Bali beds and helping me extend my stay , also Antony in the entertainment team , was so wonderful and nice , extremely upbeat who was organizing and making Volley Ball fun and Eliezer and Julio at the Preferred Beach who really made the day at the beach. Cant wait to return for Thanksgiving 2022 and looking forward to Moxche at the end of May for my Birthday !!

From the incredibly friendly, polite and joyful staff, delivering impeccable 5 star service, to all of the never ending, high quality, food options; to bars serving the most delicious cocktails, to the most beautiful facilities and decor... Not to mention, the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen! Endless activities and events. Wish I had more time to enjoy everything that was on offer. Nothing short of perfect! My husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon. We are so happy we chose Secrets Maroma Beach. Our stay was unforgettable. Shout out to Mario at the Preferred Club Check-In and Alfredo at the Preferred Beach Club. Loved every second, and cannot wait to go back! Secrets Maroma Beach has a special place in our hearts. 💙

Loved loved loved this place! Abosulty stunning and above and beyond in terms of customer service and facilities! There was always something to do....you never even need to leave the resort. There was a show or 2 every night and plenty of surprise activities/events during the day. Our concierge (Roberto) and the pool concierge (Alex) and server's (Daniel and Elliot) took amazing care of us! We felt so spoiled and blessed during our stay...we were sad to leave.

Beautiful property; fairly traditional style. Very nice beach with clean sand - beach walking was a joy. Common pools fairly busy, usual crowds around swim up bar, etc, but property overall never felt crowded. Swim out room was bliss. Staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful (room concierge and activity leader in particular). Lots of activities, which you can do - or not.
